What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday ladies! It's time for another link-up with Miss Jamie... here's what I'm loving today:

I'm currently loving everything J. Crew. They have got some super cute stuff out these days and I'm pretty sure I've visited their website 100 times over for the past 2 weeks! Now if only my bank account would magically increase ;)

I'm loving this amazing eye cream from Benefit. When I'm tired or lacking in the sleep department, the first thing that gives me away is my skin and especially the dark circles under my eyes. "It's Potent!" works miracles! I put it on once a day and poof... no more dark circles! I have noticed a huge difference.

I'm loving my nail color "Charged Up Cherry". So fun and perfect for summer.

I'm loving some of my Pinterest finds this week:

You can follow my pins and boards here.

And, as always, I'm loving my sweet, sweet hubby. He is in his last full week at work and is counting down the days till we start our drive to Florida! I can't believe we're moving so soon!

Hope y'all have an awesome day!

Weekend Update!

Hey y'all and Happy Monday! Hopefully there is sunshine and beautiful weather where you are because it is nothing but hot and rainy where I'm at... not the best way to start off the week.

But I certainly can't complain about my weekend...

I came back to the apartment Thursday night and found this guy sitting on my couch:

My friend Shawn surprised me for a weekend visit and I was so excited! B knew all about it... they had been planning it for about a week. I was shocked that the hubby actually kept a secret from me, haha. It was a fun weekend for sure. We grabbed dinner Thursday night and while B was at work Friday, Shawn and I enjoyed the day together walking around town and catching up. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous so we spent the afternoon in Greenwich. It such a cute town and the shopping ain't too bad either ;) Later that night we headed out to meet a group of our pals at a local bar/tavern. I'm so happy that Shawn was able to meet most of our Connecticut friends and it was so great to see them over the weekend. We only have a couple more weeks together...  boo :( This week is B's last full week of work... so crazy! Anyways... Sunday was a super lazy day with a few errands thrown in.

A successful and fun weekend for sure, especially after having such a busy week last week. I'm just so thankful for great friends and for out year up here in New England.

Have a great Monday!
xoxo

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hello lovelies! Happy Wednesday! Here's some things that I'm loving today:

I'm loving some of my finds over on Pinterest:

Summer Shape Up!

Hey ladies! It's been awhile since I've posted about my workouts but that doesn't mean that I haven't been working hard ;) I've switched some things up and I actually have a new workout/meal plan to share with ya...

If you've been interested in strength training, this is the workout for you! It's great, it's challenging, and you get results. I'm on Day 23 and I'm really loving this strength training guide. My SIL actually introduced me to it and I was hooked. Now... there are a few things that I don't follow in this training program. The first thing is the meal plan. It's pretty bad. I mean, who in the world wants to eat 5 egg whites every morning for breakfast for 90 days?!?! Umm... not me! I've just tried to make an overall healthy change in my diet. It seems to be working pretty well so I'll just stick to my own diet plan ;) Next... I don't always do all the exercises. Depending on what equipment you have available you may or may not be able to do every single exercise but sometimes there are tabs to click over and see an alternate exercise. I also sometimes do more than what the exercise calls for, especially when it comes to abs. I love core exercises so 30 crunches a week just ain't gonna cut it. Oh... I almost forgot about the NO CARDIO in the first 30 days... that's crazy! I still do cardio... I must get some time in on the elliptical or go for a long walk/run outside or else I would go crazy. But, that's what I love about this program. You can pretty much do what you want with it and still see results. It's introduced me to new workouts and it's a great guide to work on your arms, back, abs, and legs. It's definitely worth checking out!

And about once a week, I still do my "card workout" thanks to this pretty lady...

You can go here to read about this workout. It's awesome!

So far, my workouts have been great and I've noticed a difference in my strength, endurance, and on the scale! I'm always looking for new and fun ways to workout so please, please, please email me if you have any suggestions. I get bored doing the same stuff so I'm always trying to switch it up!

Have a fabulous day ladies!

Ivy League Shenanigans and Other Random Life Happenings

Hey gals! I have been out of the bloggy world for far, far, far too long. The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy and it's not slowing down anytime soon. In exactly 3 weeks B and I start our road trip to our new home in:

{via}

FLORIDA!!!!
I can not believe that we are moving so soon. In a little over 2 weeks the movers come to pack and load up our apartment so we've just been going through clothes, shoes, books, etc,... to figure out what needs to go with us and what can be donated. We spent the better of this past week cleaning and organizing but Friday night was an exception...

B had his graduation dinner and he is officially finished with his neuroradiology fellowship! It was so, so, so exciting to see him get his certificate and to see all the residents and fellows enjoy a night together. It was at country club here in Connecticut and the weather was absolutely beautiful. There were probably 200 guests... (I had no idea that the department was this huge!) and we enjoyed great wine and yummy food.

B and I had a great time together and with our pals. It is hard to believe that an entire year has already gone by and it's time to pack up and move on. Our group of friends are spreading out all over the country and are headed to some pretty awesome places... New York, Boston, Phoenix, and even Hawaii. We've got some great places to go visit ;) It was a fun night was fun friends but we had to head home early... B was on call the next day. Boo :( Here's just a couple of pics from Friday night. I have some more but will have to dig them up later:

Hope y'all had a great weekend! Happy Monday!

Being A Biblical Wife in A Modern World

Ever Changing

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
~Hebrews 13:8~

We are constantly in a state of change. Whether it is personally, within our marriages, our family relationships, our finances, our jobs... something in our lives are always changing. My sweet hubby and I are a few weeks out from making another big change in our lives. We're relocating... again! This upcoming move is a rush of emotions for me. I'm so excited, a little anxious, a bit nervous, and yes, a tad scared. Right when I feel like I'm getting settled where we're at, we have to pick up and start all over again. Will we like our new jobs? What will our neighbors be like? Will we make new friends? How soon will we find a church "home"? The questions are endless but one thing is set in stone and that is Jesus Christ. He is the one thing in our lives that is certain and sure. He is the same "yesterday and today and forever." He is in charge and leading us down this new path towards our new life.

Though our lives are ever changing, His love for us remains the same. He is not changing! Our God is strong. He is solid. He is our Rock. One of the meanings of the word "rock" is reliable. Isn't that just what our Almighty God is? Reliable? When we need Him most for our praises and prayers, He is there. No matter what are we going through, He is there.

God is our source of strength through all the changes that life throws our way. Ultimately I know that God is watching over us and that this move is all part of His plan. Whether I feel ready or not, I know that I can pass my feelings and emotions over to Him and He will carry this burden of mine. He is our security and safe haven during times of change and as we go about this earthly life and go through our many changes, we can rest assured that one thing will always be solid. And that is our Rock, our Savior, our God.

Other Key Verses:
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
~Proverbs 18:10~

"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
~Psalm 18:2~

Biblical Wife Challenge:
What changes are you going through at this time in your life?

Take a few moments alone and write a prayer asking for God's guidance and comfort during this time. Release your worries to Him and feel the weight being released from your shoulders. He is so faithful and reliable.
