December... Already?!?!

I can't believe December has arrived! Where in the world has this year gone?!?! I'm not complaining though... this is by far my favorite time of year!

Our trees are up, garland is hung, hot chocolate is in stock, and Christmas music is on repeat throughout the house! This truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Life Lately...

Life has been crazy lately but in the best way possible! B is working, working, working and loving his job and I couldn't be more thrilled. He works super long days but he loves the group he is with and the hospital he is at... we are beyond grateful that he has been given this opportunity. In the last couple of weeks I've been teaching ballet 2 nights a week at a studio here in town and it feels sooo good to be back dancing and teaching on a regular basis! I love it! The kiddos are great and so much fun to work with and the other teachers have been so welcoming... Orlando is quickly becoming home for us and we are finally starting to feel "settled". 

Our new couch and chair for our living room has been delivered and we have a new coffee table and TV stand to match... it feels good to have actual furniture after everything we went though with the moving company. Pictures are hung on the wall and our house is quickly becoming our home. Just a few more things to get for our bedroom and it will soon be time to start on the nursery! I can't wait to decorate for little Baby H!

I've been able to travel home to Kentucky a couple of times since becoming a Floridian... once for work and once for fun and I look forward to another work visit later this month! We've been busy, busy bees and we couldn't be happier. We are true believers that everything happens for a reason and we are feeling quite content with life in Florida! We are just beyond blessed to be down here with family, to have new jobs, a roof over our heads, and this time in our lives!

In my down time I of course still feed my Pinterest addiction, haha. Here's some fun finds from this past week:

This week has been crazy! B has had a couple of days of orientation for his new job, we're making due without all our furniture, starting to look for a second car, and still trying to learn our way around our new place. I've been neglecting my blog and countless other things in my life but it was nice to take some time this morning and catch up on my reading and of course, Pinterest ;) Pinterest still amazes me... so many cute and fun ideas!

Feelin' Like A Natural Woman

There is something about Spring and Summer that just screams natural. Maybe it's all the trees and flowers coming back to life or maybe it's the fact that I don't have to lather on tanning lotion, get a spray a tan, or pile on layers of makeup to cover up all that is pasty and white. You feelin' me?

When it comes to hair and makeup, I love taking it easy during these hot months. Who wants to have their face start melting as soon as they walk out the door? Ummm... not this gal! My makeup routine is a lot less stressful during these months and it makes getting ready for the day or a night out much quicker! It's downright simple: Concealer where needed, light powder, dusting of blush, neude/natural eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss. Other than wearing nothing (which would probably frighten people!) I don't think it gets any easier.

Fun Finds

Happy Monday y'all!

It's a beautiful, sunny, fall day up here in Connecticut and I am loving that my hubby has the next 2 days off!

Wanted to share a few fun, beauty finds:

This is my new favorite primer. I received a sample of it with an order from Ulta and I fell in love. I immediately went and purchased this item. It is so light and really does give your skin a smooth, photo finish.

If you're a southern gal, you understand the importance of adding a little extra boost to your hair. No one in Connecticut seems to understand how vital this is, haha ;) This little brush gets the job done. And... it's only $5. Does it get any better?!?! I will definitely be looking into some of their other items.

Spornette

This set of brushes works wonders and makes your skin look flawless. If I had cash rolling out the bank I would love to invest in an airbrush make up set but this gal works on a budget and these brushes give a similar effect. These typically run close to $150 but the set is $65 at Sephora and $50 on eBay.
