TGIF...

This week has been crazy! B has had a couple of days of orientation for his new job, we're making due without all our furniture, starting to look for a second car, and still trying to learn our way around our new place. I've been neglecting my blog and countless other things in my life but it was nice to take some time this morning and catch up on my reading and of course, Pinterest ;) Pinterest still amazes me... so many cute and fun ideas!

Friday, Friday, Friday

Why is it that every Friday I cannot get that darn Rebecca Black song out of my head?!?! For real!

Anywho... yay for Friday and the weekend! Bad news first... the hubs has to work some crazy, long hours this weekend but... there is plenty going on to keep me distracted:

Tonight at 9:45 pm my KY Wildcats play Indiana in the Sweet 16. I'm confident that we'll win and I'm pretty pumped for the game!

The Hunger Games movie is FINALLY out! I feel like I've been counting down the days FOREVER! I'm going to wait for when the hubby can go with me to see it but the fact that it is actually out has this gal super excited.

And Sunday night is the two hour premiere of Mad Men. I'm seriously obsessed with this show and Season 5 is long overdue! I can't wait to see what Don and the crew are up to.

Gotta Get Down on Friday

Yay Yay Yay for Friday! I hope y'all are having a great day so far :) I had an awesome surprise this morning... at 8:30, I got a text from the hubby saying he was done for a bit. They overstaffed his rotation and he got to leave. He has to go back and work a late shift tonight but it is nice having him home during the day. Good way to start off the weekend!

We've been working on my Halloween costume this morning. Here's a hint:

There's still some work that needs to be done but I'm thinking it will all come together pretty quickly. Just need to make a quick trip for some rhinestones and glue!

Oh... and I need to mention that snow is in our forecast for tomorrow. Can you believe it?!?! It's still October!! Some areas are expected to get between 5-8 inches. I don't think we'll get that where we are but... SNOW! It's a little early. No worries though... won't stop us from our Halloween party ;)

Happy Friday!

I am so happy that the weekend is here. B actually has to work this weekend but I'm looking forward to grabbing a good book, some yummy coffee or hot chocolate and enjoying some down time.

Friday Ramblings

First of all... Happy Friday! This four day week has totally thrown me off but has gone by so quickly! The hubs and I started our weekend a little early last night. We headed around the corner with some friends and watched the NFL Kickoff game. Great game to start off the season! I found myself so excited that football was back. It means fall is here! Tailgating, good food, and good friends :) We had a great time last night!

I am already getting anxious about some new arrivals that will headed by way soon!

The other night I ordered two new scents for my Scentsy. Check out their website here. They have some great stuff and I'm so happy about my new fall scents. I just love the smells of fall and winter! I ordered "Pumpkin Roll" and "Autumn Sunset".

If you haven't checked out Marley Lilly recently, do so immediately! They have some of the cutest monogrammed items :) I currently have several of their items on my wish list and they have a ton of gift ideas.

They have a bunch of super cute and fun cell phone covers. You can also request to have an added "pocket" on the back. Then when you're headed out for a night on the town you just stick you credit card and ID inside and you're good to go! Doesn't change the look too much either. Cute and practical... I think I need this haha!

I'm always looking for a fun scarf/pashmina. They have lots of colors to choose from!

I'm loving this sweatshirt pullover too. I'm thinking I need a navy one for all the Yale football games ;)

I'm really looking forward to spending some time with my hubby this weekend. He has had a busy week and he's on call next weekend so we're trying to fit in some "quality time" with each other. The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend so I'm thinking a trip to the beach might be in order ;) And maybe Sunday afternoon will call for some pool time as well. I'm trying to soak up as much sun as possible before the cool weather is in full force up here. I know some of our time will be spent watching season 4 of Mad Men. If you have not seen an episode please go watch the first one NOW! Great show... but you have to watch it in order from the very beginning or you will be completely lost... trust me... I have made this mistake! It's so well written and the actors are awesome! I'm obsessed with Betty Draper's closet!

Happy Friday!

I have never been more excited to see the weekend! Okay... that may be a tad dramatic but this past week has been a bit crazy so I'm more than ready to celebrate this 3 day weekend :) Between dealing with the water damage in the apartment, our AC going out, and lots of errands and work related craziness... B and I are ready to enjoy some quality time with each other and with friends.

I have to give a quick shout out to a new blog that I discovered this morning. French Mademoiselle. I'm in heaven! I'm currently obsessed with Paris and this blog fulfills all things french and beautiful :) She also has a second blog dedicated to yummy french food! Check her out... lots of pics, furniture, pastries, etc,...

This weekend should be a good one. We're getting our weekend started off by going out with some friends... I'm ready to un-wind with a glass of wine in my hand and lots of laughs. Saturday morning I'm hoping to make it to a free yoga class down the street from us. It's a great, new studio and every other week or so they offer all kinds of free classes. Sunday, B and I decided to throw a lil' impromptu Labor Day shindig at our pool. Should be fun :) I'm just praying the rain holds off... I'm craving some sunshine! I'm happy B will be home on Monday so we can have a lazy day together. What are your Labor Day plans?

Smile, it's Friday!

It's Friday!!!!

I'm so happy the weekend is here... yay :)

My weekend actually started a lil' early. Last night several of the teachers and their families got together for a big cookout and just had a night to relax. SO MUCH FUN!! Recital wore all of us down so it was great to just hang out and not worry about work, students, or costumes ;) We had yummy food and yummy drinks! Have y'all ever had summer beer?!?! I had not... until last night! Thank you Kris for introducing me to a new beverage. I had not even heard of it... not that I'm a big drinker anyways. I'll have the occasional glass of wine when friends are in town or with a meal but other than that, I'm pretty tame. This was yummy yummy yummy... it's beer, vodka, and limeade/ lemonade.

Basically... it was a fun night with fun friends!

Today is a lil' hectic. Lots on the to do list but it's Friday soooo... that makes everything easier.

The hubby only has to work a half day so we'll be spending our afternoon running errands and then heading to his Senior Graduation Banquet tonight. I'm excited to celebrate with B and his fellow residents... they have accomplished so much. Very proud!!

Smile, it's Friday!

Yay for Friday :)

I am smiling today because of this beautiful sunshine! It has been rainy and gloomy for the past several days so I am happy to be out and about enjoying this awesome weather... thankful to see the sun today!

I'm smiling because I got to spend the morning with my sweet, sweet hubby and we shared a yummy bagel breakfast. Great way to start the day :)

I'm smiling because I think today calls for a mani/pedi!
